2017 Pollyball
About Pollyball

Polly Hylant-Tracy lost her battle with cancer in 1990. Her husband, three daughters, and family wanted to remember her in a special way and many options were considered. As the family pondered ideas from donating a park bench to planting trees in a Metropark to reflect her love of the outdoors, the idea to host an annual volleyball tournament in her honor was born. The large family often played volleyball in Polly’s backyard, and this was the perfect way to honor Polly and raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

The 26th Annual Pollyball Tournament took place on Saturday, August 19, 2017 and was another incredible day filled with terrific weather, fun volleyball and camaraderie.

2017 Golf Outing

Congratulations on making our outing a huge success AGAIN! We were able to raise $6069 for Hospice of NW Ohio.

We were not going to have an outing this year but the FCA side of our house came to us and asked if we could put together a joint outing for CHARITY. We didn’t have a lot of time to put it together but  Local 1435, our members made it happen. It gave everyone an opportunity to see others outside the plant and have a fun time and all for a great cause.

Thank you to all who came out and volunteered their time along with all the golfers that enjoyed golfing on such a beautiful course. This years outing was at the Legacy Golf Club in Ottawa Lake Michigan.

We received so many donations from around the Toledo/Perrysburg area that helped make our raffles great.

Karl Sill the Grill-master cooked about 150 hotdogs for everyone to enjoy at their turn. Dinner was served after the outing that included Ribs and Chicken.

Lots of big winners today but most of all Hospice of NW Ohio. Hospice of Northwest Ohio provides specialized medical, emotional and spiritual care to people of all ages living with any end-stage illness in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. Equally important, we also provide support and education to their families and caregivers.

It brings so much pleasure to help this charity as we all may be touched in someway to Hospice at one point of our life whether personal or family.

Thank you again Toledo Machining Plant!
